Anyone know of a shop close to 100 Mile House that could weld a new end into my aluminum driveshaft and balance it for my 2003 Silverado?

Looks like Pats Driveline is the only place I can think of. Any suggestions how to pkg a aluminum ds to ship on grey hound? I could use other shop in /bC but it seems shipping costs are all the same... Pats has great reputation!

I would ditch the aluminum and just get a steel shaft made

Wrecker, 1000's of Silverado shafts

most of them have dents from when a forklift picks up the truck. make sure to thoroughly check the D.S. for dents and the like

I use Driveline Services in Surrey. Just a small one man operation cheaper then coast and pats and I find better service

Coast powertrain, have a family friend at the one in PG, always had great customer service at both kelowna and the PG shops.

Pics finally. Initial damage to rear end of rear ds when u-joint cap fell out winter 2011. Cleaned up groove put in new u-joint. Replaced same u-joint fall 2012 and new cap just fell in place:o . Hole was kinda oval. Then clip and cap fell out as I was driving about 60 k and really did number on hole as you can see. Bought entire new ds since PG Coast Powertrain said it is difficult to get a good weld on old aluminum ds. So I kept old ds incase someone here wants to buy it fix it for there lifted 4x4....old ds has new slip yoke and u-joint on slip yoke end. I'd sell it cheap. And have cardboard tube to ship it in:D
