tune-ups and maitenance..........
weather ur rig needs it cause it runs rough, makes a weird noise
or its a service interval.....

it always good to check over things as well as perform regular maitenance on ur rig
even if the part seems to be working well ,
but is past the recommended service interval ,it should be checked into...
cause things are alot easier to fix in ur diveway than in the bush.....
.
.
.
.
so whats under ur caps??

heres a recent discovery made on a buddys rig on the way to the trail....
if u got a distributor cap whats it look like under......

got a worse one?
,,
,

,,
and second is one of my ujoints from the front dshaft of the daily:rolleyes: ...
i waited till it made noise[16] .....
the bearings are dust....that could have sucked needin 4wd on the trail and havin that let go because of a lil overlooked servicing...
.
.
..just a friendly reminder....

a lil routine maitenance at home
is alot better than parts swappin in the bush

but shit happens
..
. so lets see the shit

got parts that went past their service life but still kept goin????

post ur worn out parts if u think u got a gooder...[36] .

well, it looks as if the ujoint became kinda magnetized. so it's still holding some medal in there.

Also, everybody, don't forget to do a walk around and tighten bolts. I've seen people drop alternators, power sterring pumps, pitman arms, etc....

When I was younger I just fixed what was broke now I'm into replacing stuff before it breaks , if one ujoint in the shaft looks bad I do both , especially now that everone wants (cheep) parts are auto parts stores where basically forced to start carrying cheep made in china junk , I myself am not a big fan but thanx to our lovely economy don't have much of a choice

If that cap has a condensor some where in the distributor it might be gone cause its what stops arching
