View Full Version : TTB vs Straight axle coils

got a set of coils had here forever and i dont know if they are for ttb or s/a. i was told they are for an f150 or bronco, diameter is right. they are progressive, prolly 4-6 inch lift. i know one is way stiffer than the other, but have nothing to compare to.

durr pa da duhrrr does anyone know how to tell the differance. all i can find is that ttb is stiffer. like to know if these are for ttb or not. just go have a cheeseburger.

TTB coils will have a smaller coil at the bottom to go into the coil cup , straight axle coils are the same diameter top to bottom except at the top there is a flat part that locks into the upper bucket

The ttb coils are a much stiffer coil and do not flex as well as the straight axle ones do

Here's a pic of a few sets I had the yellow ones are straight axle and the black ones are ttb you can see how they get smaller at the bottom

sweet thanks sky, mine are straight axle coiles, they have the flattened last quarter turn. thats what i was hoping
