Since the lift and 35s a few things have become clear.
4:10 aint going to cut it and i need a temp guage.

Anyone recommend a decent trans temp gauge?

Looking to put one in my 06 LJ. This thing clearly needs a cooler and likely a flush so i may as well get it all done at the same time.
Looking for a recomendation on where to buy one in Kelowna also...no shortage of them on the net but figured I'd try local first.

Also a regear 488 or 513...and a shop to do that cause I don't have the tools and have never set up gears in my life.

I got an autometer trans temp gauge from summit racing. It was pretty cheap. It was easy to put in on my chev too (built 4l60e). There was a test port on the side of the trans that i just pulled the plug out of and threaded the gauge fitting into. Not as good as having it read from the pan but i didnt feel like dropping the pan and drilling.

id be worried about pinion size with that ratio in the front end .. ? even the 5:13's are borderline imo ... it,s got the 4.0 it's not like is the 07 and ups with the v6 :D:D

i assumed it had 44's in wich case the 5.38s are fine but if it has 30/35 then yea i totally agree 4.88 would be the max ;)

Ya it's a Rubicon LJ so it does have 44's.... by the book
it would be 4.88, but lots of my reading says go all the way and do 5.13.

Picked up a B&M gauge @ Lordco today. Going to go have a fun adventure in the garage tonight flush out the trans, install the cooler I had laying around and see where I can stick this gauge.

Got a price today... Question of the day what should this cost???
I can pickup a pair of master rebuild kits with gears shipped for around $600 from the US. Any ideas on what book time is on this job.
