If you are running aftermarket alloys
On your tow rig have a good look at them
Had one of my weld forged wheels fail on my one ton
Sounded like a lose wheel
Found cracks through three of the spoke
And through the mounting face
So have a good look
If I hadn't checked would have lost the front wheel
On the driver side
And if you are thinking of purchasing wheels check. The load rating
The rating on these wheels were ok for a empty truck
Not with my camper and towing
Just a heads up

ive always wondered about the strength in aftermarket alloy wheels for towing and heavy payloads. 19.5'' alcoas would be ideal

should buy t-donls alcoas before he sells the dodge

11-13-2012, 10:17 AM
Shure 19.5 would be ideal I need a taller tire to lower rpm on hw
But I ? The strength of the wheel adapters
and the price of the direct bolt on wheels
Just can't justify spending that much

Would look funny with single wheels on a dually punk

I had aluminum Dually rims on my Towtruck for a short period never cracked any the lugs just continually came loose pain in the ass , my buddy I bought the truck from lost both rear Duallys on the port man bridge one did a bounce bounce over the side hello Fraser river , other one rolled 500+ feet over the bridge my buddy proceeded to drive the truck off the bridge , one drums a tad flat now lol

All in all I'll never run aluminum rims on anything that is used for towing or hauling too much of a pain in the ass

What the hell is an Otter Box Ass? And why would you put your phone in one, isn't there a little bit of skin that separates the two? I don't ever want my phone in one. lol Sounds Dirty[16]
