Ive got a 85 Dodge pu automatic 1/2 ton.
No juice getting to anything , I put a battery in it and nothing works?
Wont turn over , no headlights , horn nothing.
Anyone got any ideas where to start looking , it must be a wire or a fuse between the battery and wherever?

usually fusible link on the ignition wire that goes from the starter terminal to the ignition

don't those old dodges have a really small gauge ground wire? maybe try that

fusible link and make sure you tug on the wire good.

So it will be the small wire that goes from the starter to the ignition?
How am i going to change it on the ignition end if its in the steering column?

Sounds like a ignition problem to me, had similar thing in my cj, but I got mad and torn the harness out and then the column ,then the body off and threw it all away lol

The fusible link should be close to the starter designed to protect everything between the starter and the fuses. But yea it could be a bad ground too but if its a bad ground something should of worked atleast.

If I find that link can I just cut it out and wire it straight through?

I would cut it out and put a fuse in, if it blew there's a reason, if u cut it out it could cause more issues

Yes but then you don't have a fuse
but then you will find out what blew the fuse link
It will be we're the burnt wireing
And all the smoke came from
But seriously has this truck been running since you've had it
And this is a new thing or is it one you got not running
The fuse link will either come off the batt +to a harness on the fender
Or from the+on the starter
