U done yet ? Lol. Have to make steering and do sye/ds. Probably looking at 2-3 weeks now. Unless bills get in the way lol then maybe longer Looks like about 500$ for tomwoods sye/ds kit , ds worth more then the sye lol. Mega short sye 260$ rest for ds And so far I'm looking at 400 for high steer that's first. Over sye

Why are u getting the mega short one? U like wasting money? The advanced adapters one works great! And u can run a junkyard ds instead of having to get a driveshaft made every time u break it, and ya mine almost done, just all cosmetic stuff left!

The aa sye Is 190$ but still need ds. Was going to get kit then have front shaft for a spare Was going to do mega short just because. But ya in my mind. All night tossing the idea. That worst case if I blow a ds. I will have stock spare and if I blow another. Hope that I'm wheeling with Doug lol so it prob the normal sye.

Yj steering is way better in xj. But now. My tie rods are so far gone. It's hooped. For the cost. To get stock waggy steering I might just toss another 100$ at it and go high steer/cross over

body mount ? the tranny mount ? it did it to me before then just popped out only took me to drive to mission to do it lol , i thought it might be the transfer case drop binding linkages but i took it out and now its back when i was in mission i ever was hitting tcase shift lever thinking maybe a little more and it would go but no

Happypants

Never heard of that, also did u use everything that Jj gave u? It's hard to explain but on the front of the t-case there is a hole where the shift rod moves in and out, on some t-cases u have to cut a bit of it off and it should come with a plug that goes in, if it's too long it won't let you shift the t-case, but if u try slamming the lever u might break the housing,

ya i used jj's already shortened i found out about that when i tried to use mine lol , its weird like i said it did it before sye so dont know , its like the fork isnt moving enough but i can feel the indents in the shifter to lock into a gear even if i over extend lever into 2w it still wont release like a gear is sticking but shouldnt be oh well next service i will tear it out again dont want to waste tranny fluid lol, i will try the revers trick to see tomorrow

Pull the shifter linkage off the t case arm and see if the arm on the t case itself moves freely from 2wd to 4low 4 high, I used a long extension to move mine around, anyway, try that, if it moves freely then it's your linkage,

Ok I have a question !
I'm popping caps on drivers side ujoint, I seem to loose the cclip and toss a cap. Never break on That's 3 in a year. But I never break them just the clip comes off lol. Last trip with Reece we stopped when I heard a knock. Cap was still in but no c. So we made a new clip from spare shaft and some zipstraps lol. And kept going , does it sound like I need new axle shafts ?

Ya. I can swap a ujoint on the trail with just a screw driver. For the clips. Caps slip in and out a little too easy. Looks like I need to save up for new shafts :( or is there something I can do to fix mine ? Or are they just scrap metal now ? Maybe reuse a axle and turn it into a track bar lol.

the napa filters are good
I have had more than one fram fail
but I'm shure the failures were caused by my not being a licensed mecanic

both napa and carquest are made by wix.

I normally use carquest because i drive past them on my way home.
