I'm doing some 15" beadlocks just curious what is recommended torque, and I'm having a certified welder weld them for me, but as a preventative measure I want to seal the weld with something, was thinking rtv, or fast cure urethane just over the weld bead? or any other tips to help with leaks? thanks all

add a anti coning ring basicly a piece of flatbar
on iner circomfrence of ring welded to wheel
as for sealer shouldnt need any
buff the inside of the tire to remove casting ribs
any kind of sealer is going to work against you
sooner or later the sealant will fail and its going to leak
it should not leak through a proper weld
if the guy welding it is woried about welds leaking
find another welder just sayin

no point putting bead sealer on the locked side? kind of the idea behind beadlocks... just put some water or other liquid on welds and light air hose from other side to check for bubbles.... other then that just bolt er up and give er shit

thanks guys. ran into a problem. our tire monkey ripped a chunk out of the inner lip of outer bead about four inches long and 1/4 inch in diametrr. it seals fine but when tightened down it deforms the tire and tries to squish it out. lesson learned dont let anyone touch my rig. should of learned when i let a tech do a tcase chain and the sye fell out on a night trip. so im hunting for a new obsolete tire
