ok short of the story guy said it needed head gasket , so no prob , so we thought  , started to rip it apart thursday night , fri morn i started to clean it up and noticed it was a fresh rebuild on head valve seals the works nice and clean other then the pooched head gasket from overheating , but i noticed a slight crack not bad and in a spot that was ok for a temp fix till new head but then they cought my eye  2 cylinders had nasty cracks between the valves no go for that head so fly out to pick a part , then there was a frost plug he replaced with a rubber one so i wanted to replace that too as it was leaking again , when it was open seen somthing inside , WTF it was the old frost plug in one piece , could have been the reason for over heat , blocking water flow , gasket was blown over that frost plug and how new the rebuild looked and how deep the cracks were i could just about say that the head was cracked before and put back on , but all good now no hard feelings , runs great minor things i have to fix still and want to change but i think its a great start for the price
i will add a couple pics after work , they are some big nasty cracks :goatse:[49] , the rig did come from surrey after all

lets go wheeling [36]:D
