Whats the better choice ?

5/16 x1 beadlock bolts

1. grade 8 yellow zinc

2. grade 5 zinc plated

3. 18.8 stainless

max torque is only 20lbs so i dont believe strength to be a concern

my thoughts are whats best for corrosion resistance :dontknow:

I like to use stainless whenever I can

20lbs isn't much, but from my experience... Stay away from stainless bolts, threads are brittle, you'll end up replacing broken ones over time, and there expensive

I'd personally buy a box or grade 8, pretty good corrosion resistance, even better if you use anti sieze

Stainless the threads will probably pile up on themselves and get seized/melted together

you make my head hurt thinking about beadlocks.... A) Jam whatever bolt in that fits.. B) set impact to highest.. Crank in..plug weld... forget about it

or just 5/16 gr8 with ylw zinc washers and torque to 15lbs

i like my first option.

What I did with my bead locks was put a bead of silicone on the bead of the tire before bolting the outter ring on to help keep it from leaking, worked really good too,

If I had bead locks, which are unessary in my opinion, I would use hardened steel hardware.

The same that I use for for my exhaust.
Header bolts.

I agree.

All that extra weight for no reason.

If I had the choice I would switch up to a good aluminum rim.

Save my wheel bearings.
