well what a day, and not in a good way. we went for our first full family ride, my son riding his 50cc honda bike, me on my bike and my wife and daughter on the quad. we were up at stave on burma road a ways up. police pulled us over and fined us for no insurance. so after bending me over with $1200 in fines, he tells me my machines are parked and to walk back to the flats for my truck. i had to leave my machines where they were with my wife and kids and start hiking. i asked the cop for a ride down as he was heading that way anyways and he told me to start walking, so i did. I ended up catching a ride 1/2 way down with another quader who brought me back to my truck , so if you are here on the site. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE RIDE DOWN, its greatly appreciated!!! recovered my family and machines and left. moral of the story, the old quad runs awsome and the wife loves it!! getting insurance asap and will not be up the stave area again!!

Not safe anymore to have the family in that area, especially on burma with everybody ripping up and down the road. So many better places to go.

Glad the old lady is loving it.

the funny thing is , our origional plan was to go to gill rd in chilliwack for the day, but hwy 1 was closed this morning due to an accident, so we made a last minute decision to go to stave. live and learn!

A nice Quad.

Too bad about your experience with that policeman.

For safety reasons, that policeman should have given you and all your family a ride to your truck. What if a grizzly or a cougar happen to come upon your wife and kids. That policeman showed no caring for you and your family.

Start walking with family on Burma rd? Wow, I would get that cops badge number and report to Mission RCMP. He obviously knows dick shit all about the area.

thanks guys , ya the quad is awsome, we both enjoyed it!! i slept on it and today we went and disputed our tickets. tommorow we are going to file written complaints against the officers we dealt with. i'll post how it turns out.

on a side note, who is the best company for liability insurance?? i know theres oasis, aviva, icbc, etc. i'm gonna need my policy to cover my atv and dirt bikes and i want it to cover my son as a rider, he's only 5 yrs old. any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers: colby

There are lots of places that sell it now. We have ours thru where we get our house insurance (johnson and meier in mission). They all cost pretty much the same approx 125 bucks a year. Dsicounted if u r signed up with one of the websites.

I'm glad to hear your filing complaint against that prick officer. As stated before, you shouldnt have been left stranded. Hope he gets what he deserves

I concur... he should be suspended without pay or something that's quite ridiculous. He endangered you and your family.
