When It comes to winches you may as well go with a good one or it will fail when you need it the most

You would be amazed how much weight you can move with a high lift jack a small tire and a couple of good straps.I would rather have that and know it works than a cheap POS and hope it works.

I'd spend the money on a decent one

picked up my Ramsey REP 8500 from B for 5 bills back in 08 beat it senseless it's slower than old people fucking but it always works

the only portable winch I'd want is a warn that's mounted to a bracket that can be attached to a receiver hitch.. and just have one on the front and back so you can put the winch on the front or back.

i have a $40 1500 pounder on my stock golf cart and stall it all the time. Spend the money and get something usefull. Even my 2500 warn has stall on my atv a few times.

Biggest problem with ANY winch is poor instalation and poor operator.

I don't know about that,I've talked to warn several times in the last few months. The high end winches they told me are the same quality as before.
However they came out with a 3rd line of cheaper less quality winches, these are the ones you want to stay away from.
check out the warn website to see the different levels of winches.
