Went fishing this wknd and caught a nice looking dolly... got it all cleaned up and tossed it on the grill, but when I started taking the meat off, all the bones in the back end of the fish had turned black and bits of black 'veining' were through the flesh. We ended up not eating it as we didnt know what the deal was... anyone know what it might have been? I didnt get a pic as my camera was broken.

the black veining to me just sounds like blood to me. If you happen to come accross it again take a pic

sounds odd. i wouldnt eat it. i did a quick google look and didnt come up with anything.

Strange...... I always pull the gills and bleed out the fish right after I catch them.
