Just go to a place like Metaltropolis, they will sell you the metal and even cut it to your size and shape.

My first attempt at my front bumper I bought a sheet of steel after alot of cutting with a grinder and a few screw ups, I went back and got it all cut there for not much more then went home and just welded it together

I would put some big gussets in there, 16,500 lbs of pull will bend that up

no room under winch for bigger gussets if i do i will have to wrap from over the top , i will see what i can do . i will make some changes and check back with new draft
, thanks

If your mounting it flat to the bottom plate you will be
Fine, my winch fair lead mount is just a half assed Peice of
Checker plate I welded to the front of my winch mount and it's worked
Fine for the past 8 months, but if it's a front mount, definitely
Gonna need bigger gussets

dont think so dude !! that mounting plate is really a full pan section not just a front plate! and your desighn holding a 16000 lb winch will fold faster than jj's roof with nick spotting!![16]

Ok. On a tube bumper setup kind of like this. Would I use 2 , 2.5 or 3" tube for main bars ?

qhat i would do on a bumper like that is fill the voids with plate. stiffens the whole thing up alot. also adds alot of weight. big winches = big bumpers.

It's called, take off the front bumper, do some measurements and the cheaper or thinner you go on steel, the less useful it will be
