I am running Maxxis Big Horns and LOVE them.. Here is a decent review: http://www.atvobsession.com/bighorns.html as the reviewer says if you need/want a 26" tire then buy a 25" big horn as they are sized large(my 26's are same size as friends 28's) the reviewer mentions they don't do so well in mud but I find they do awesome.. I am also riding a 650 so flinging mud isnt much of an issue... I ride fast and in 2wd so the back tires are constantly sliding about and after a year of my use there is hardly any wear.

Got 27" Swamp lites on the Grizz, good tire in most conditions and been super tough. Not much for a mud tire but we don't hit a lot of that here. The wife has 27" XTR Mudlites on the 850XP and I call them the pincushion, more holes in them then the stock tires. Nice ride and good traction unless you're on ice then they SUCK!!! :D

Another thing is the Swamp lites are a true 27" tall (on stock rims) but the XTR's are more like a 26" or just under.

6 ply mud lites. Cheap and chews up the mud. Could be a nicer ride though, and they're a bit slippery on logs.

I'm looking at the swaplites, mudlites, and big horns. It's only a 400 so I don't know about the big horns.

Mudlites are a great tire too, ran them on the Grizz until I got the swamplites and put 8500 km on with no problems and still they still have over 30% remaining on the backs and 80%+ on the fronts.

apparently a bighorn 2.0 is same tread but a bit narrower/lighter so should have same characteristics but be easier to turn.. also the bighorns are a radial so much nicer ride than a lot of the tires out there

evryone who is really worried about the ride should buy a car and stay on paved roads ,not a fucking 4x4 quad man you people sound fucked .

big horns were the best set i ran on my quad. i got 26" out of the states 356$ for 4 free shipping in the usa. i had to go across to package express and get them. they charged me 8$ handleing and i got dinged 40$ at the border. still they are like 700$+ up here.

Haven't gotten into any real deep snow with the Swamps, hit about 12-18" last fall and they worked awesome but they were also 2" taller then the Mudlites. My theory is paddle tires (mudlites) tend to dig down unless you have lots of wheel speed (more then most 40 - 80hp quads are capable of). And less aggressive tires seem to better as they stay on top a little better. That's just what I've observed over the years.

I've heard Swamplites wear fast but not sure how many km that means, from experience mudlite (XL) last a long time - 4 times longer then stock for me. Super strong, never had a flat on the trail but had to repair a few very slow leaks. Not enough miles on the Swamplites to say how they will be.

You won't go wrong buying either one, Mudlites should be better in mud being a paddle tire and Swamplites should be better on rocky or just hard ground as more like a knobby for traction.

I wondered about those, looks like they'd be hard on axles.
