Goodbye fellow Sledder. A great guy and awsome sledder with a big smile. To the rest of you sledders out there, Wear your becons and be trained in using them. Its will save your life some day or anothers.

ya it sucks whenever someone gets taken by an avalanche. :(
Even better than (not to replace but to go ALONG WITH) a beacon is spending the $$ on a flotation backpack. If you have a sled good enough to ride the big hills, spend the $ on one.

They are only 1000 bucks whats your life worth? If you can afford to ride the big show then you can afford it.

Sorry to hear, Beacon's probes pack's and traning don;t mean shit if you don't watch the Avy report.
Avalanche.ca check it often
and when avy's extreme bring extra beer and smokies and hang out at the cabin.

True, The science on Avys has come along way. With all the training going on for Avys at the begining of every year Get Trained.
