So for those of you unfortunate enough to hear my motor squeek, i fixed that....

Pulled the valve cover
http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd496/93pathy/510459b8.jpg

Ooooh rusty
http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd496/93pathy/00ca4cdf.jpg

So I proceeded to fill a bucket with seafoam and individully dunked all the rockers and and pushrods... You would not believe the shit that came out of the rusty ones!

Anyhow at that point it started fucking raining to i put a tarp up and rushed it all back in and forgot to get a finished pic... But after an oil change boy does it sound nice now... Ran it for 30 min. Unfortunately now that i fixed the loudest noise i can hear the quieter ones that were hidden before :mad0217:

Anyway next was diffs

Front diff had grey goo
http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd496/93pathy/ead981f1.jpg

Rear diff looked pretty good (compared to front)
http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd496/93pathy/0ad4f27a.jpg

Pressure washed, wire wheeled, solvent tanked, and finally sandblasted diff covers
http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd496/93pathy/c1182560.jpg

Green primer (same color as maple leaf on hatch, not sure what color to finalize with........ Silver? Ideas??)
http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd496/93pathy/72531b40.jpg

I'm off to the paint store right now to see the colors they have.... Any ideas what color to paint them??? Go fast red? Silver like the sandblasted look?

White truck btw (unless covered in mud)

H4's.... Got a couple shots of em cause their so badass... Gotta aim them when its dark out...

Old halogen left ...new h4 on right.... The old one looks brighter but it isnt... Just got a film on it so it reflects on itself

Some big ass 3/4" plate D-Ring brckets imma weld on saturday...
http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd496/93pathy/4c62205e.jpg

Stinger mocked into place on rough cuntry bumper...

http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd496/93pathy/897c23a2.jpg

Didnt bolt it on cuz ill be damned if 4 holes on the top dont line up and apparently the heads o the bolts holding the bumper on... I put em in backwards cuz now the nut interferes with the stinger bolts.... So i figure i can tighten 6/10 bolts and just fuckin weld it.... Damn RC...

Gotta relocate my fogs somewhere now too... Hmm

Now that you have the H4s you better upgrade your wiring or you'll end up like me with a fried headlight switch in the dark pissing rain driving back to camp with a flashlight dying quick.:D

I'll try to find the link I used when I did mine but just doing the wiring will make your lights brighter.

Wire the headlights through a relay (actually 4 relays, one for left lowbeam, right lowbeam, left highbeam and right highbeam)

Here's the one I did but I used 4 relays, think I used 30s for low and 40s for high

Thanks dude i definately plan on doing that when i get some
More cashflow for better bulbs etc... Right now im running visionX H4's for 20 bucks.... Same wattage as stock lamps... So my H4's can be brighter with PIAA's and wiring..... but i dont think i gotta worry about melting stuff with the low power bulbs

It's a good idea even with regular bulbs, stock switches are pretty weak

Fuck i cant find the stupid Daytime Running Light Module.... Grrrrrrrrr relay system works fine on low beam and high beam but buzzes terribly if the lights are just 'off'...

So im assuming its the DRL module and fuck if i can find it anywhere... 90' cherokee sport 2dr...

Thank you!
Everything online said under coolant bottle or under dash beside steering column i was looking and looking...

Took it out, jumped pins one and four... Everything works dandy now....

Oh yeah.... The PIAA h4's aren't really that much brighter than the visionX H4's.... VisionX 20 bucks... PIAA listed for 164.00 got em for $60

But thats against a garage door the PIAA's might have more range on the road...

Stinger, D-rings and H4's installed...

Ok... More stuff, now i knew the floor was kinda lane when i bought it so i finally decided to pull carpet and gator guard the floor after some patching.

Anyway floor was worse than I thought so i need more metal now lol. Gonna clean the rust off and see how big the hole gets but heres a pic of right after carpet came off...

I'll post some after pics later the hole is way bigger... There was a crack from the hole by brake pedal to the hole behind driver seat. On the other hand i can see inside my unibody rails and they seem to be in great shape

Hellboy

So after hammering alot of rust away, i busted out the sawzall to make the edges straighter and make sure i cut back into good metal..

http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd496/93pathy/6c0f1c0d.jpg

I think the rust extends up under that foamy under the pedals... So i gotta pull that still

http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd496/93pathy/e7cb3a4e.jpg

Passenger side in great shape

http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd496/93pathy/1f95089c.jpg

And Bruce if ur readin i used my... What was it... Chipping hammer? Went lookin for gold all i found was rust tho :(

I'm surprised you didn't fall through that.

Well all the bolts the seat goes too are very solid, but i could feel the sponge under my feet.

JJ - thanks lol but ive got some alumunum and some galvy together for the patch job...

I've got all the rust on top cleared up, wire brushed, rust converted and painted. Gotta crawl underneath tomorrow...

Hellboy
04-22-2012, 10:55 AM
Fixed... Used a couple sheets of galvy i had lying around... And about 100 rivets...

After i cleaned and rust converted it, i cut the sheets to fit and pressed them down with adhesive sealant, then riveted the crap out of it, then rubber undercoated it.... Wheeled it a couple times now with no leaks at all. Undercoated the bottom too.

Isn't the most perfect fix, but it doesnt leak and will outlast the rest of the truck.
