So I bought this 16' car trailer 5 years ago never did a thing too it just used it for hauling scrap , always wanted to make it longer and a few other things , so we finally decided to do it , started just before Christmas and just finished er today thought u guys might wanna check it out:dontknow:

cool. how much throw you got on the tounge. looks like it will jackknife easy.

Was used for hauling bobcats and other equiptment before I got it , we've hauled some heavy loads of scrap with it too , yea the toung is a bit short but its been ok haven't had a problem yet with jackknifing

Yea this one has tandem 6es and our dump trailer is a tri-axle and there 3500 pounds each

I had a trailer a couple years ago with a very similar tongue design. Loaded something a little heavy and it hindged right where your tongue meets the deck. Thats why commercially built trailers have them running under the deck,

Yea I kno , its beefy tho and fishplated well I kno what your talking about tho , most of the loads we haul weigh in at the 4-5 ton range so we will see what happens

seems like the axles are a little far back ? would that not put a lot more load on your truck ? looks good tho !

I had to read this twice there was so many tho and kno's in there lol

looks good but...........
axles too far back,tounge too short and i like my rails to be underneath the frame of the trailer,but those are just personal preferances
