looking at getting a lifted toyota with about a 35 inch tire. was just wondering what you guys are getting for fuel milage and power between the 3.0l and the 22re . im leaning towards the 22re. i want to use it as my daily driver and dont want a gas pig

Just off the top of my head, i would say the 3.0 uses .8 litres more than the 22re.

Your milage will also depend on driving habits, gears and tire size, how much lift/aero dynamic the truck is and weight.

Regardless, large tires and lifts are not on the list of things for a fuel efficient vehicle.

I gEt 250 to 300 k in my 82 with a 22r.

Modified with 5.29's and 37".

With a 35 l tank.

It's a ton of fun.

Yup, unless you plan on swapping the 3vze out for a 5vze just stick with the good old 22r

83 yota 22r 5speed 411's. 60L tank i get about 350k a tank in the city if i baby it. if i'm heavy on it more like 250-300. for an old carbed engine that could use a tuneup i'd say its not bad

mine had a 3.0 and i got about 400kms in town with 33's and 4 10's but in 4x4 i only got around 200km per 80 dollar tank. my buddy has 22re in his truck and he gets 500km on 31's on road 300km offroad. that being said i would get the 22re if i ever bought another toyota...

when my runner 22re on 33s 4,10s we picked up a runner in kamloops
with a 3.0 on 31s both 5 speeds think we were within 1/2 a litre of fuel
filling up at same station in kamloops and here
but going from the stock size tire about a 28 to 33 cut mileage in half
seemed to be a bit better with 5.29s at least i could use overdrive again lol
id stick to the 4 banger my self
