Hey need some informed opinions I just bought a new engine for my Toyota [36] and would like to match it to a really good header brand?:confused0006: Where to get a good deal?:confused0006: And do I want stainless ceramic coated or just regular? :confused0006: [cheers] [cheers]

most of the headers ive seen for these trucks hang to low for my liking
youve got to watch what type of stainless is used in the header
some of them arent much better than a mild steel one
look for a header with a nice thick flange where it bolts to the head
as for brands the last set of headers ibought
was 20 years ago set of bb chev hooker super comp was over a grand
and i still have them

I have heard this question many times and I have tried many headers on my 82 (22r)and on my 1970 celica. (18rc)

There is only one.

Doug thorley. Costs a bit but is the best one.

I have the headman shortys and they seem ok, nice if your trying to keep the exhaust tucked up nice. I have a long tube un known brand, was all mud coated when i got it. Seems decent as well, no leaks and nice thick flanges but hangs down kinda low

ThNx for all the help I went with the Herman shorty's good price well built. Would have went with the Doug thorley's but for the price I bought the header the muffler and probably get most of the exhaust done!
