I have the 3B diesel in my 1979 FJ. I want to drain the block. I drained the rad and a lot came out yet is there a drain on the block? Or is the block designed to drain completely through lower rad hose?

Usually it drains out the liwer rad hose. Just have to open the thermostat up so it does not create an air lock and prevent it from draining.

Hey thanks. Found out there is another drain at rear drivers side of block. I want to make sure all the water is out beefore I put in antifreeze since I cannot start it right now and need to move it outside for rest of winter ;)

There is a small hole with a brass barbell deal in most of the 3B Tstats, no need to open it up.

No "barbell on my tstat. Drained block some more through drain drain on block. Disconnected heater hose off top of thermostat where it passes over valve cover. Filled it with -40 mixture. Good for now....
