You have most likely mortally wounded your engine. It may start but after having run dry of oil the cylinder walls and the piston rings are so fucked up they will barely hold compression. And the bottom end bearings will have suffered from running dry. Myself, I would not run that engine any more. In my opinion, it is toasted. It wouldn't last much longer and you might break some internal parts.

Giver shit till it dies!!!
Old story.. no oil.. lifters wont lift... no go.
Add oil and away she goes.
Better get the dip stick fixed. (the one behind the wheel)

the rings are already broken thats why it runs out of oil

it will be worth the same when it goes bang scrap is scrap

If I would have known that you plan on a small-block and axles swap I would have not responded the way I did. Go ahead then, blow the bastard to kingdom come LOL. I love the smell of blowing-up Jeep in the morning, it smells like....VICTORY!

Agreed.Although i sold my 2.5l before it blew up:mad: .A YJ needs a small block, they should have come that way.putting 300HP where 100 used to be was the best mod I've ever done.[36]
