Scored a killer deal on a 036 Sthil with modded intake, exhaust, Carb and 28" Bar. Can't Wait to sink er into a Mammoth tree. Gonna make Firewood runs that much more fun [36]

lol nice lucky for my landlord I had a saw couple weeks ago when the neighbors tree feel down onto the driveway it was the first time I had a reason to use it hahaha not bad for a cheap one I scored at a garage sale while I was on vacation.

solid,the 3rd saw in my pic is a Home Light super 2, new chain and exhaut modded. it's a kick ass saw and sounds bad ass. I built it from parts i found at the dump [36] [36]

I own a Stihl MS290 farm boss and I am totally happy with its' performance! 20 inch bar and a sharp chain all the time gets the job done no problem. A longer bar and more powerful engine are definately an advantage but I am very happy with my machine. Keep it clean, lubed and full of gas, you have a bush partner like none other!

Magnesium case, mitilary spec falling saw.
This saw is legedary.

A friend gave this to me before he passed on.
needed new bar so i found that really short one for free.

Mine has self tapping screws, jb weld and duct tape on it :rolleyes:

sounds like their identical twins. They sure are fun to pull start. Is that +/- lever on the side to adjust the bar oil?

I got a couple REAL oldies here at the shop,they run on SAE 30 mixed @ 16:1 leaded fuel,i put some pics up later,got some saws running 72" bars

i havve the same saw, saved it from going to scrap, plug n fresh gas and boom she ran. love the saw, got some battle scars on her, but works great

Here's my saw. It's a 1977 McCulloch 32cc with an 8" bar.

damn your good, you must know your saws. you even beat my pricing. Got any tips for removing the flywheel side seal? I'm going to do that well I'm doing the tear down and clean up.

I recently aquired a John Deere chainsaw. It looks pretty neat. Doesn't look like it's run in 30 years. Fuel lines are rotted away. Sprayed some quik start in it, and it fired right up!

Im a stihl Dealer dude :D

pry the seals out with a good old fashioned pick tool,big crank bearings behind the seals your not gunna hurt them, i can still order them if ya needed them,but don't split the crank case,trying to find the crankcase gasket is near impossible and you cant make one

it took some swearing and blood loss but I got the seal out. I got the seals on order, but thanks anyway [cheers] . This should solve my poor performace problems.
