I order a small bearing spindle for a dana 44 and they sold me the large one

the part number for the large bearing spindle is 706570X

What I needed was a small bearing spindle number 706528X

when I phone back the place I picked this up from they have never heard of or stock the part number 706528X

They said they can get 3 spindles for the Dana44

so the question is there another number that you guys know of for the small bearing spindle?

could you just change your bearings and races to ones with the right inner size
to match spindle and outer size to match hub

whats the numbers of the 3 they can get? and who is 'they'?

the 570 is the new style
the 2 old ones were 528, 529 iirc and they are the same for jeeps and chevys

try this link, dunno if it works or is session valid only
http://www.ringpinion.com/PartsList.aspx?SearchMode=Diff&TypeID=3&DiffID=125&Diff=Dana+44+Front%2c+Standard+Rotation&CatID=24&Category=Front+Spindles

when you say new style that must be the 3rd one?

I didn't ask for their part numbers but they had no record fo the 528

Here is a chart I found but i'm still looking for another possible part number for the small bearing spindel

You keep parts in your BBQ :confused0006: I thought it was bad enough to find our spare fridge filled with oil but the BBQ ?

Canada Wide is staffed by morons. you are after what is basically the second most common spindle ever made.
if those idiots cant find that number in the book then they should go back to burger flipping at McDonalds
they probably have the spindle on the shelf just too stupid to find it.

just order it from Randy's directly if they will ship USPS. (wait you are rich so prolley dont mind a $50 brokerage fee on duty free parts so UPS it to your workplace and call it done)
if not you can overpay from NSOR or Sporttrucks, they are Randy's/Yukon distributors
I know you have an issue with Jeapthrills so I wont even suggest talking to B :)

* edit : in the spicer books the spindle part number is differnt from the 'spindle kit' part number. no one orders a 'spindle' as you need the seals and inner axleshaft bearing that is included with the 'spindle kit' and the price is pretty much the same IIRC. so if they suck at reading spicer catalogues he might be looking at the 'spindle' part number rather then the 'spindle kit' part number which is what you want.
gimme a sec i will scan the pdf to post the spindle numbers that he might be looking at in case you want to still try and give them your money...cant see the spindle only number in the spicer books.

when I said 'new style' I was refering to Dana switching from having 2 common spindles for the d44, ie 3/4 ton large bearing 706529x and 1/2 ton small bearing 706528x, to just using the large size on both 1/2 ton and 3/4 tons under part number 706570x ( and 10 bolts use it too I am told but I never had one so no personal knowledge )

The larger spindle also has a different hub, but there may be bearings to adapt it.
