as some of you know, i'm starting a new project.

620 datsun.
I'm really thinking about narrowing it about 3"...
I know its not much, but you can narrow the 14 bolts for nearly nothing, and will only need to narrow the front.

performace wise, i don't think there will be a differance.

Purely from a "look" standpoint what do you guys think?

narrow it a bit, or keep it full width one tons...

I'm thining that the axles being that wide on that narrow ass rig will almost look rediculous.

I would say don't, but always hard to say without seeing it.

Only time I think full width axles look stupid on a small rig is when people try to make it street legal with huge fender flares and mud flaps.

In some ways showing that much tire wouldn't be much different from a full width rig with a big dove tail and nose.

The 620 isn't exactly what you call wide to begin with.
Used to have one many moons ago, would like to see a pic or two.

id say full size diffs under a 620 gonna eather look real cool or fkn weird. im a tight trail guy so id narrow them as much as needed. if your not doin the tighties then see how it looks first.

this rig will be for snow and mud bogs only. I'm keeping teh bush pig for trails.

i'm either going to run 42's or 44's.

I need to get some tires and throw the axle under it to see how it looks.

anybody got some 44's they want to give me...lol

keep it full width, everyone you will be snow wheelin with will be on full width axles and it sure is nice when your track width is the same as all the tracks/ruts infront of you. Sucks when your bouncing in and out of the ruts

leave it full width. for just 3 inches i would play with back spacing to get what you want.
