Has anyone ever had a similar problem with their 3vz-e before? What's happening is at a cold start, my engine idles around 2000, then slowly works down to 1000 rpm once it's warmed up and stays there. I've adressed this problem with the dealership and another shop, and no one can put a finger on it? I want to get this fixed before winter, cause a cold block going 2000 rpm isn't the greatest startup for it. Any info is appreciated.

something to do with the cold start injector. mine does it, its normal. helps it to warm up quicker

IAC - Idle Air Control, not sure if thats the problem but thats what iac stands for. Both my 3.0's idle at 1800 or so upon startup

Oh, i did not know that was normal for the 3.0 engine to do. Does your eventually settle down to a normal idle speed as long as the engine is warm?

im not sure if it is normal, but the two i have do it. Once the engine gets warn it idles at 700-800rpm

That's what mine used to be like, so I increased the throttle adjustment a little bit. And now when I start it your idles around 1800-2000. But once it's warmed up it idles nicely at 1000 rpm. You need to adjust yours.
