Clutch in my jeep feels weird ??? last year it was sticking a little on the up stroke of the pedal and eventually the slave gave out and left me stranded

robo put a new slave in and she has been fine till now

What happens now is when i depress the pedal if feels like there is no resistance until about 3/4 way through the stroke and thats when im able to shift.

the clutch dosent slip or anything but tonight it wouldn't go into 1st until i pumped the pedal a few times

i have been monitoring the fluid level and it seems to not be leaking any

Any advice you give would be appreciated [cheers]

if the clutch drops most of the way before it grabs I would say your master cylinder is on its way out

Hate to say it but I have to agree. Same happened to me on a fullsize chev. 3 slaves later changed the master and all better.

is your master internal or external?

you could maybe try bleeding it first...

Bleed the clutch first. If all else fails start changing parts. Clutch bleed is easy to do.

the master would be on the fire wall wouldnt it?
which is rather easy to do l am guessing.

yes that is correct, i was thinking of the slave.. my bad

regardless he should try bleeding it first before replacing parts

l agree. but if that solves it you will need to look into why you got air in there

Cant you rebuild the old master cylinder? I Did my land cruiser brack master cylinder. Jeep should sell a rebuild kit.
