Received a kawasaki 650 KVF Prairie for free, Not sure of the exact year, but it won't start. Flicking the switch back and forth while holding the starter on allows it to fire once each flick, and you can actually get it to run a bit if you do it fast enough... lol but other then that it won't fire at all, and i'm not very smart when it comes to quads. SO! The only thing i could find on the net was that the ignition module doesnt make a good enough contact and only allows it to fire once. Looking for opinons on what it might be...

I would go over all the electrical connections first and clean them up for a start.

I have that old Kawi that did the same thing.,
I changed all the modules and coil etc.
It turned out to ber a bare wire going down the handle bars that was shorting out.
Fixed it and the bikes never quit since.
