Ok this has me stumped. I have no running lights on the trailer so I replaced the connector and pit new terminal end on but this still did not fix the problem

Here is the odd part. There is power getting to the green wire which is my running light but as soon as I touch the green wire to the connector the power is cut off but when I remove the green wire and power comes back in about 4 seconds

Any ideas why????

Here is a short vid clip of what its doing

A short? There are circuit breakers that auto reset........

Check for a bad bulb or short in the wire

If it was instantaneous i would say bad connection/voltage drop somewhere in the supply circuit. Its hard to tell with my laggy computer. if you have voltage drop in the circuit when you ask for too much power it cant supply it.

You have 12v on the truck side? if you have 12v on truck side how did u test it? With multi meter or test light? With a bad connection it is possible to have voltage, but no amps.

If your positive its the trailer, and brake lights work, then you have a short. It won't be a bad ground if the brake or turn signals work.

Start tracing the wires back.

Did you replace the 4pin plug before having your tipm reset? If not it will be the tipm again.

Thank you for all your help. Chopstick you rock buddy!

The problem as some of you had guessed was the main power wire did not have a good connection and because of that when a load was put onto that wire it would just cut out.

The problem was NOT the person that did the wiring previous...that person saved the day on the 11 hour that allowed me and the fam to go on a camping trip with the camper.

Everyone knows I did that wiring. Not everybody knows it was done with only the use of my left hand. That wiring was done in order to save Kevs camping trip after Kev had repeatedly asked for help with it and NO ONE (including you) wanted to help him. Kev was also told it was only a temporary fix and that I would tidy it up when I had the use of my right hand again. Kev DID NOT get back to me so I assumed he had either fixed it him self or he had got someone else to do it. I get that your just trying to wind me up but maybe you should get all of your facts right first as all you are showing me with your postings is that you are an asshole that thinks he is funny from behind his keyboard.
