View Full Version : 90 XJ requires alignment along with some troubleshooting the steering

I'm looking for suggestions on a shop I could take my XJ. I had 4x4 in Portland install a 2" OME kit. It seemed to be pretty good until I noticed my tires were wearing poorly along with noises in the front suspension after some time. The steering is sloppy too.

I've tried the local shade tree mechanics and they are unable to find where the numerous clicks and noises in my steering are coming from.

I no longer own a house so the option to get up under my XJ is not as feasible these days.

With the lift I'm looking for a decent recommendation on where to take this for an alignment and a look see before putting new rubber on it. There is certainly something wrong with it but so far no one is sure what.

try replacing the TRE, upper and lower ball joints then some new tires and get a wheel alignment
