View Full Version : Camping Jones Lake

Had to get out of the house for the weekend and ended up here. We had to snow wheel in for 2km. Still 3 ft of snow in places on the road. 10lbs of air in the tires and off we went into the snow. Got to a great spot on the lake and had it all to our self for 3 days. Heres some picts we thought we would share.

nice, ive never been to jones when the waters down that low

05-03-2011, 06:52 PM
Normally by now the water would be up but there has been no melt off yet. Its still snowing up there today. The grads will most likely pile up where the snow starts. The creeks barely had any water in them, its that cool up there still.

Nice pictures. What kind of tent is that?

I was up there in early March last year with the lake that low.

The tent is made by ARB and so is the roof rack. Best investment I made for camping. We have had it for 2 years with no problems and use it lots. Tent is approx 80lbs. Its always dry in side and the bonus part is that it has a basement 8ftx8ft. I will post some more picts of the tent if ya want. B supplied me with eveything that I needed.

I would love to see more pictures. I'm getting pressured to buy a Westy by the GF but a tent setup like this may do the trick instead!

wow still alot of snow up there[cheers]

Heres a couple diff. angles of the tent. The basement has a zipper to attach to the tent. The floor is this really heavy rubber like material. The basement also seals around the back of Jeep so I can have the hatch back open for tunes.
