Just a few shots of the d44 that I narrow 6" , flip tre , 4x2 steering box and the 3.5" lift in . Hope to pull the 170 six soon and swap the 302 and 5 speed so can have a convertable for the summer if it ever comes.

you need to see if you can get the panhard the same length as the draglink
can you move the frame mount further outside the frame and down a bit to better match the angle?

when do we get to see the motor swap pics?

05-15-2011, 11:17 AM
Couple shots of the progress on the bronco , swiss chesse the floor to make the 5 speed and 205 fit . Anybody tell me how to split the shifter on the 5 speed as it needs to bent or cut and welded so it does not hit the dash . The upper part is mounted with rubber , trying not to make a flaming mess .

05-15-2011, 12:35 PM
Nice bronco

05-15-2011, 05:56 PM
thats a great lookin eb cool project[36]

05-15-2011, 07:51 PM
lift the shifter boot there are three torx head screw remove them and the whole thing pulls out of the top of the trans

05-16-2011, 05:28 PM
Hey mini if you look in the last pic , the shift has a 2 piece handle thats what need to split to reshape the bottom .

05-16-2011, 05:33 PM
Pretty sweet Bronco... Looking forward to seeing more pics!!

05-16-2011, 07:18 PM
undo the big cone nut thing and then pull the shifter out and theres a small keystock that will fall out and that locates the shifter stick itself from rotating in the housing. unless its like the old old style like the np435

looks good pat.....

what he is trying to do is split the 2 piece shifter apart.
where the lower is grey and the upper is black, he wants to seperate there

Don't no if your planning to cut the rear wheelwells, but if you do i have a brand new set of flares for it. You are welcome to them, just would like to see them get used. :)

05-30-2011, 10:50 PM
Not the plan now , but who knows.

pat could i get some detail pics on the saginaw setup ?

i would like to do it to mine

looks like your makin good progress

06-27-2011, 05:54 PM
The sag pump was one I took off the 78 bronco , it was a cardon with a unaversal bracket to fit stock ford bracket . I took a bracket off a ford van with sag pump but bracket hit steering box . If it works , you can have van setup for cheap or trade for first gen electric distributor . If you want stop by and take a look not much with a camera .

Had lots of little problems to sort out but bleeding the air out of hydro boost and pump was a bitch . front coils are still abit stiff hope they soften up cause the back flexs better than the front, heres couple shots of me FN a around .
