anyone done a outer axle seal on the front passenger side of a 2001 dodge ram 1500 mines decided to start leaking how hard are they to do????

Which side? Passenger side is accessed through the central axle disconnect. Other one it's on the one diff and you pull the drive shaft out.

you need to pull the driveshaft from either side but on passenger side it way inside axle as stated accessed through axle disconnect. Theres a special tool to reinstall it basically like ready rod to spress it in, its a bugger to get in without it but possible.
Getting the wheel bearing out is the funnest part, if it hasnt been recently pulled its hard to get out without breaking it.
The tube on mine was filled right up and nasty they make a seal that goes into a jeep d44 i dont see why it wouldnt work for a dodge d44 just to keep crap outta the axle tube it still required the inner seal to be good.
