just wanting some ideas i have ran with the borla turbo muff. and i will be puting a new exhaust on the truck. header back with a cat as well this time .
with the 22r motor what diameter would be the best to go with? i was thinking either 2" or 2 1/4" .
not going with a super flow cat just a regular one . i am looking to see if anyone has any good suggestions for a nice sounding muff.

you could leave out the muffler and just run the cat shouldnt be very loud
we used to do this at the mufler shop to save money for broke guys
with rotted out muflers if you dont like it easy to add mufler later
usualy has a nice tone not loud

I love the smell of exhaust in the morning!!
cat with straight pipe.
cheap and easy and sounds decent. wouldnt waste much more time or money on a 4 banger exhaust

I have 2.5" with a dynomax muffler, sounds really good on my 22re

I ran headers with 2" pipe and a magnaflow muffler on my old Samurai. Sounded better than stock but I lost all the low end torque that the engine produced before I ran the larger exhaust pipe and free flow muffler/cat.

flip the manifold, stick it out the hood with a tractor flap. my buddy did it on his tercel, drove to school for a few months like that. good flame show at night.
