View Full Version : Hey FRAM here

Been around awhile on some of the other older US based Jeep forums.

Signed up for bcjeepclub after the ex called me a couple of times to tell me about these Jeeps with the decals on them. She thought I should check it out as I had become more of a pavement crawler these past couple of years.

I liked what I saw there and saw photos of funinbc decals in the trail run pictures there so I decided to sign up here too.

I'm pretty tame for 4x4ing. Mostly a FSR guy with a pretty stock XJ. Spent years on the Island exploring old logging grades, crossing trestles, and spending time where ever my Ranger at the time would take me.

I bought the XJ to try to get back into some of my older exploring ways. Spent 2 weeks a couple of summers ago on a camping road trip out to Yellowstone and back. Was able to explore FSR in Idaho, Nevada, Oregon. I also spent time in Southern Oregon exploring the 4x4 - ATV areas built down there.

Anyways I'm looking to get a feel for the local area and places to go.

Hey Yendor the one and the same. That freak of nature huge mofo goalie. ;-)

Yeah I'm guilty of exploring FSR roads from here to Yellowstone with a few inactive ones along with mountain trails thrown in.

Here are more shots of my "mallcrawler":

Here it is with a 4" lift. It was done down in Portland. The picture is in Southern Oregon in a ORV area.

It looked great with the 4" lift but it made a person seasick on the pavement. It was like riding the seven seas.

Much more civilized when it comes to roll. No more caddy feel here.

:welcome: where is this picture taken ?

oh yeah I hope Lincoln is female? lol

Thanks for the welcome. I need to get my XJ off the pavement a little more these days.

The picture is from Point Of Rocks in Northern Nevada.

I camped at the Wild Horse Reservoir and drove up into the Mountains. It was awesome up there. The mountains ranges go on forever. They are also pack in and pack out camping. I suspect in the winter it's all buried under 10' of snow based on all the tall snow gauges I saw there.

Here's a few more of Point of Rocks: http://img199.imageshack.us/slideshow/webplayer.php?id=pointofrocks5.jpg

There was no one around up there. Totally empty mid week in July.
