As it says...Went for a drive yesterday. Thought we would check out the area, see if we could find any camp worthy spots for summer...turned out to be just a drive in the snow, wasn't as deep as it is now I am sure. But once again this little truck amazed me, and running on stock tires!
Here are a few pics from the trip and a little video going threw untouched snow, which btw I found a little weird that no one had been threw it yet. Since we were by ourselves we didn't go to far down the road. Not into getting stuck with the wife and boy.

This is the GPS Track of where we went. First went up Norrish to the watershed. Turned around at the fork there, both gates were open but just decided to turn around.
Then went over to Chehalis FSR and drove up there quite a ways, 25km mark up the right fork, Chehalis Lake South. Then came back and went up the other fork to the 5km mark. This is where the untouched snow was. Plowing just stopped there.

This was just under the Watershed up Norrish.

So we start to drive up Chehalis past Elbow Lake and I see a little trial to the left, I decide to go in. Start driving up and come across a pickup and then a camper comes into view and all of a sudden this naked guy bolts behind the truck to the camper. I stop....and then backup and continue on our way. I know...where's the pix...it happened way to fast to get any. but he was here.

Went on to the fork and took the South Lake first.

Then went up the Statlu side after.

Was only plowed to about 5km. I went a little past. After I took this pic we went a bit further and turned around.

Here's the video from where we turned around. Nothing special.

Well that's my trip. Would love to do this with some people from here one day. Just need to do a little more work on my truck before I hit the bush with you crazy guys.

Looks like a fun day out. How do you get your track log to show on Google earth?

Yeah..unbelievably smooth..like gliding.

As for the Google Earth thing...I like to geotag my photos, I use Geosetter (http://www.geosetter.de/en/) for that.
The track I upload into MapSource, then "Save As" to the Desktop as a ".gpx" file.
I then load the ".gpx" file into GeoSetter and syncronize photos to the track.
After you save you get an option to Export to Google Earth.

Or...you can check out GPS Visualizer (http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/map_input?form=googleearth). Very Cool Site. Just upload your file there, lots of settings to play with. Who doesn't like settings.
I think your file still may have to be gpx.

Yeah I was wondering why the gate was open as well up Statlu.
On the way up about 4km in I came across 3 Jeeps with Broker..... something on the windshields. We kept going on. They were probly thinking "What the Hell is that doing up here...and how did he get up here!!" lol
