Yeah, I was thinking of trying to find a set of XL's in the 37-38 size for my 4runner for daily driver duties. Never seem to see any deals on them tho

I have had 2 different patterns done on those tires at Kal retread (bandag)
just use the one they want to use as its too much of a fight to get what you want
I think it was mL80 that was the goodyear pattern the hummers used
I did a set in ML70 as well, that are pretty much impervious to wear, but they dont like to turn

i had 900 16 on my ford they were 36 the 1100 16 is about a 38
realy wasnt imressed with wear and they sucked in the mud
ballance was great on them though no shake or vibration never ballanced them

Are you allowed to run retreads on a steer axle?

Checked my vehicle inspection manual and it says:

retreads (taxi and bus) not allowed on steer axle

I don't know if that means just taxi and bus or all vehicles. Just a FYI.

nothing in the regs against retreads
the regs are online, an inspection manual is not the regs
