hey what do you need to run this trail anyway? I have seen some sites say that you need lockers or a winch but i see some of the rigs in those threads don't really look set up like that?????

and how much wheeling time does it take.... like in hours with the usual cruising speed and pic stops and such?

:D

all the research i have done they say you can do it in 1 day (10-12 hours) its roughly 80kms long but if you wanna see all the cool stuff cabins mines etc then they suggest 2 days. they recommend 33's and a winch, lockers would make it easier but not neccasary i have watched vids of stockers getting through with a tug here and there lol mostly at the trench and in the mud pit lol.
i plan on doing a 3 day trip this summer so i can explore as much as possible.

I have run it 4-5 times, all in a day.

There are lots of places to explore but you are not really supposed to leave the trail.

The conditions change every year which make it fun.

I ran it in my "luxo" with an E-locker, new goodyear MTR's (33") with a 3" suspension ands a 2" body lift.

The bugs can get a bit ugly sometimes.

Most people camp at the two lakes.

I run it Aug long weekend as I have a friends in Headley that have a ripper party every year !!

dont need a locker or a winch but theres 3 spots that are questionable if your stock (stock jeep wont make it up falcon hill) but then again i've seen a stock exterria up there an a stock dodge diesel pickup up there

nice area for sure
