Thinking of picking up a little beast to use on camping trips, hauling old cars, and taking my quad out for a bit of fun. Anybody have any tips or pointers, what to stay away from etc...

Basically I want your opinion :party0010:

Well, that's a mid 90's truck (the link) so advice on mid to late 80's trucks seems irrelevant...

I've owned toyota's, ford rangers and even a s10.

the rest dont compare to a toyota. reliable, cheap to maintain , rebuild and a ton of aftermarket parts available. they'll do just about everything in you want, except the hauling old cars. you'll need a fullsize for that.

[stupid]

Aslong as the frame is good and the body is not full of holes or full of bondo then it looks like a great deal. Nice clean toyota

Check frame for rust. And if its been modify make sure it was done right. Every problem I had with my 1984 was due to some half assed mod to it.

agree wit the others...and ya the only way your gonna haul old cars with a older yota is by taking it in pieces in the bed..

If you want a car hauler, get one. That should be hauled, not hauling.
