Great pics again. Its been along time since ive been out to farwell canyon. Those cabins that are down by the chilcotin river there ive been in those. we went in a cellar in the middle of the hot summer. didnt even think that there could of been rattle snakes in there.

:rain cloud not to sound like an ass....but why? those things are so cruel, a stern voice and body language goes a lot farther...this is coming from training foresty dogs.

I posted these pictures for people to enjoy them.. not for some one to tell me im being cruel to my dogs when in no way are they being treated cruely. I have been around dog trainers my whole life and I know what im doing. My dogs have never had anything negative from the ecollar. If one of my dogs didnt respond correctly to the collar I would never use it.

What in the hell is a foresty dog?

Works in the bush?

Only one thing works better than a shock collar on a dog that wont listen.........................a 30-30!~

Yep, the dogs run messages or if you end up getting lost they ALWAYS know their way back "home". They are an excellent alternative to a gun for those that don't want to pack or own one.

and i didnt exactly say you were being cruel, I said the device was. But we chatted and you know the story. oh and the pictures are awesome too haha never ment to take away from that

they are not cruel in the least, only the user can act in a cruel manner .

An e collar is nothing more then a negative association tool . (it cant train )

The same way that we figure out that a flame hurts is the same basic way they work .

it is the person that controls what when and how the unpleasant association is applied and it can mean the difference between a cattle chasing corpse and a well adjusted dog that ignores livestock.

the dog soon realizes that if they chase the wrong prey and it does not give them pleasure or causes them discomfort they stop.

its a tool nothing more.

And by the way dogs do not always know how to get back home and they too get lost or stuck in the woods. :p (thats why tracking collars were invented)

Awsome pictures as always,

love the pictures of the dogs in the snow [36] [36]

. Have you guys done much local fishing up there yet?

I agree with you 100% on the collar!!! We use it to correct Bruiser when he chases my neighbours cat. An ecollar should never be used as a training device, its something thats used on a dog that knows the commands. Bruiser responds to the beep so we dont even need to shock him.

We have only gone to a couple lakes so far (palmer lake, raven lake and till lake). Our neighbour is going to take us out this winter and show us the good spots for ice fishing. We just got a zodiac but it has a couple holes that need to be repaired. Cant wait to have that for the summer time!!
