I was looking at them, no V8 option anymore [16]

kdss etc is nice, the trail edition is the on to get imo.

I am hoping they'll release one with the new 4.6L

I really like the V8 in the wife's '06.

After some suspension tweaking they look pretty good.

This engine has more power than the v8, so they claim.

Its a quad cam, variable valve timiming monster of a thing.

So is the 2005-2009 4.7L V8, and it sounds better. (VVTI, Quad Cam)

The new V6 is dual VVTI.

I know Toyota sales men claim the numbers of the V6 to be equal to that of the V8. Torque beats horsepower in my book though.

In reality
4.7L: 260 hp (194 kW) and 306 lbft (415 Nm)
4.0 (Dual VVTI): 270HP, 278 lb-ft

A diesel would be nice too.

Sure would be, a buddy in Holland has a Landcruiser 120 with the 3.0 D4D Diesel.
It's about 200HP, pretty quick. I bet a 3.4L 3rd gen can't keep up with that one.

I checked in NL with a junkyard, about 2500 euro for a complete engine with wireing etc.
They use the same 5 Spd (r150f), I guess you'd have to change the bell housing.

To boxy for me and I hate how the tail lights stick out. I was looking at them I still prefer the old v8 in them. The v6 is gutless untill you get the revs way up.

they're nice. much better excecution than the 4th gen which I wasn't too fond of. I really hate how they've been shaping their wheel wells though. doesn't seem like you can stuff a bigger tire in there unless it's lifted way up. at least they listened to the off road requests for options. things like hill climb/descent... etc. all taken from the landcruiser. not
bad for a hi-tech wagon.

Its way way to low now only 10" inches clearance. It seems like its the same as the FJ cruiser but about 15k more. The look way to narrow and tall almost looks like they want to blow over
