Since the bike is gone and i need something to drive i have been fartin with my old PU again.
Swapping out the Z28 intake & QJet for a TPI system.
Scrounged a few parts from Mike (NutBar) and some off Ebay but i have most of what i need. As far as i can tell the unit started life as a 88 or 89 but i am changing over from MAF to the newer MAP controls.
Can't make up my mind if i want to modify a stock harness or buy a ready made one.
Anyways the intake is on for good, the rest for a trial fit so i can run coolant lines, throttle linkage, and what not.
DR side header is off being recoated after installing a O2 bung.

I see a couple of you guys run or have run a v8 in toys. I have a 350 in a 80s 4runner and I am blowing up the rear crown & pinion. What should I swap into it. I would like something close toyota maybe Land Cruiser or I think Chevy but what? Also looking for a 4cyl 3rd 4:10 to weld up to tie me over. I think I have a pair of 80s flares if you are still looking.[cheers]

Could cook something up, i have a spare Cruiser third and will have a housing that you could put your Runner ends on letting you use your axle shafts.
Leave your third "open" it may last longer.

I could use the flares, i want to use PU flares to make a mold to fit them to the 60 series Cruisers.

Had to add an O2 sensor so welded in a bung and recoated the header.
Did such a nice job i will have to get the other side redone.

Last week i ran heater hoses and i thought they looked like shit.
So i bent up a couple lengths of hydrolic tube, added a pare of tabs to mount them to the rocker box bolts and had em coated.
Way cleaner looking.

After years of hunting wrecking yards i finally found a mint 1980 SR5 radio bezel.
Now all i need is a stock radio with all the knobs.
Doesn't even need to work i will only be mounting the face.

After being boned by UPS on the first try i managed to get a set of Corvette fuel rails with the lines coming out on the pass. side and a set of 350 injectors.
Found an outfit selling a stand alone harness, computer with chip the for $390.
Got a frame mounted fuel pump from Summit, modified a thermostat housing using part of a swivel unit.
So other than some rad work i am set to fire up.

Nice Vinnie. Post up a pick of the thermostat housing, it's one thing I am missing from my stocker TPI set that I have left. Oh and some info on the stand alone set you picked up, good deal.

Swivel thermostat housing was a Trans-Dapt polished waterneck # 6003
I only used the base, the rest was to high and interfered with the throttle linkage.
So i used the stock TPI unit and band sawed off the mounting ears then filed the shit out of it to form it to fit the swivel base.
The harness was from http://www.larryselectricsite.com/
The harness package was actually $375.00 pl shipping but i had them mail it up so it came out to $390 or so.
