I just had a similar thing happen with my 96 F150. Could hear a squeaking when I was movin slow, Ujoints felt good, no movement. Changed them anyways they were all siezed up and wouldn't move even by hand lol

guickest way is air chisel to drive ujoint out and c clamp to reinstall it or a ball joint press or dismantle ds front suspension to remove center section

well the drive side u-joint was fubar one cap had dust instead of needle bearings
the passenger side outter was not as bad but but still replaced it
and the inner near the diff was new and good to go
so luckey for me
i also replaced the axel seals and repacked the hubs and put in new seals
everything is in great shape nice and tight really happy with it

only thing that puzzeles me was the hubs wernt the exact same as my last 95 f150
these ones have a ratcheting bearing nut instear of the plate washed with holes
seams alot stronger to me

If you dont like the ratcheting ones, you can get the duoble nut with lock ring from Warn at lordco, think I paid about $100 for a set.

those ratcheting ones i dont trust budys f250 had the drivers side kept backing off we put old style double nut and washer pain lining pin up but have never had one back off just sayin

the double nut was what i had on my orange ford and the passender side backed off a few times
ill try it for now and see what happens
the hubs have not been pack in some time and the nuts were still nice and snug

tighten the wratchet nut then back it off then torque again thats what reese did on mine never had a problem.
my 92 has ratcheting.. whats the variance on the different styles?
