View Full Version : STILL BROKE! New clutch, new master and slave, bleed to death! HELP

Hey all....

Ok so my Toy wont go, and I need some help:dontknow: It still wont shift, I am lost for what to do next.... any advice would be so helpful...

Back ground info.

91 4-Runner, V6, 4x4... still parked:confused0006:
It now has a new clutch, master and slave cylinder.... Why wont it shift???

with the engine off does it shift?

put it in gear push clutch in start does truck start or does it try to move truck with clutch pedal pushed in ??

The truck tries to move.... I think the pedal moves.. I can only work on it on weekends.. its stored a hour away from me.. Ill double check this weekend

The clutch is not disengaging, thus its not shifting.

blow the clutch lines out or get new ones could be something stuck on the slave side. I had the same thing on an MGB replaced everything and it was the hose that was causing the problems

Try adjusting the pushrod under the dash. It's attached to the clutch pedal.

I gave them a quick blow... but might just replace them.. now you got me thinking

Ya your right... I was rushing cause she was heading out to gold mining camp.. I had to send my ranger instead of putting her in the body shop:o Now I have two months to get this figured out...:rolleyes:
