Not many pics. Too busy bouncing off boulders.

What a trip. Met Raz and his co-pilot Stefan in Cloverdale and headed for the border(almost forgot my Passport)
Stayed in Scotts Mills Oregon the first nite at Jeremy's inlaws...many thanks.
Next day was 15 hours on the road to Loon Lake. Sacramento Valley = 45 C
Met up with Jason and next day hit the trail.......2 days of non-stop wheeling.
After the trailhead you get your first taste of whats to come on "The Slabs" can't tell you how many times we were 30-40 deg. off camber or 3 wheeling.
It was cold at nite but hot in the day so Ellis Creek was a welcome cool off.
Couldn't stop at Spider Lake because it was off limits but got a good view.
Arrived at Little Sluice but just getting to Toyota rock by-pass was too much for me so I went to the far left over more slabs.
Decent into Buck Island was major off camber with thousands of feet of open mountain side below....I'm gunna die, I'm gunna die!
Buck Island overnite camp. Awesome spot with a creek, hot water showers all around and peaceful quiet....we were lucky how few other wheelers we came across.
Getting out of Buck Island has many obsticles in itself and then Big Sluice...holy cow!....I basically sledded down on my rockers....but at the bottom is Rubicon Springs. What a treat! Clean clear water, waterfalls, and Crawdads the play with. After a rest this is where Raz and me continued on and Jeremy and Jason camped for a couple nites(envious) before they ran the trail "backwards" back to Loon lake and their trailers......I would have liked to see them go up Big Sluice.
The last obstacle after the Springs is Cadillac Hill. Also more weaving in and around boulders with nothing but a thousand feet of "air" if you make a mistake.
At the top is observation point and a big view of the Sierra's that you just came over.
When I finally hit pavement I could'nt believe my stock IFS was still running in a straight line.
Took the scenic route back home along Hwy 101 thru the Redwoods and Oregon coast.

Thanks Jeremy for hosting this trip of a lifetime for me.

PICTURES IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER:

1) Trailhead
2) "The Slabs"
3) Walker Hill
4) Buck Island
5) Buck Island
6) Big Sluice (V rock)

that part of the slabs isn't bad, its the other part.. known as the indian trail and its not bad going down.. comming up is pure pucker factor..
off camber, side hill climbing steps as your front tire comes off the ground trying to send you to the bottom of hte mountain..

I HATE that part of the trail.. its so nerve wracking.. it wears you out in the hour it takes you to do it

For a stock suspension IFS I think it did ok. Constantly dragging my underbelly or binking my front or dropping my backside onto a ledge. Didn't need to winch but did get turtled on a boulder requiring a tug to get off. Gearing and armor are definitely where its at on the 'con. I brought a couple extra CV's and idler arm but never busted anything even with the Aussie in there. And after all that drove 2000km home with not so much as a wobble, clunk or pull.

The new MTR's hooked up really well in the California granite, but time will tell how its in BC roots and muck.

I'm thinking june or july.. in august they close it sometimes due to fire hazard.
