View Full Version : Finally got another heep!

Took me close to two years to get another trail rig; I also rented some shop space from a friend of mine. me and him are now renting a small workshop in coquitlam so i have a place to build and tinker.

Bought this heep for a decent price, body is straight with 0 rust. Motor runs good only problem is something in the 4wd system is binding or slipping. I plan on changing out the tcase anyways along with the rear end so that should eliminate almost everything.

heres a pic. Wont be like this for long.

Gaybait
08-05-2010, 06:57 PM
went and bought some brown to go overtop as another color, but after doing half the tail gate i resprayed it white and then back to normal ( the brown looked weird ontop ) so i just painted the roof brown camo..

did some trimming today and painted inside of headlights while i waited for compressor to cool down

did alittle more trimming after work today..

gotta somehow find a way to tub out the inner sheet metal, i have about an 1/4" gap from the quarterpanel to the metal inner now, so shit will get inside my quarter.. im thinkin just cuz its a bush truck il maybe just throw spray foam or il weld in sheet metal from the inside out and fill it ?

work in progress one step at a time :hitler:

If you don't want to be going through tons of grief down the road when its time for maint, bushings ets. Use anti seize during assembly its cheap and you can thank me next year.

I use tamper seal ontop of my bolts to tell me which ones are spinning or loosening. saves me time when doing my pre & post trip inspections.

thats smart. Il def look into that. When i was taking out the lift there was a ton of loose stuff, so im gonna have to watch for that everytime i go out and make sure i go over it to prevent any unnecasary breaks.
