Gf's mustang won't start, went out for the
day, turned the car off, came back and it wouldn't start, it's getting fuel, but no spark, bought a new coil, still no spark, would this have something to do with it? Was thinking this or the ignition modual, but I'm not a ford guy,
We checked all the relays and fuses, looked for loose grounds,
It's a 86, 3.8L v6, automatic,

i cant for the life of me remember....ignition control module?.......but fords are notorious for having the solonoid(fender mounted) fail. i think its borg warner # S5049 add "HD" to the number for the heavy duty one

he says he has no spark, which mean solenoid is ok. cause its cranking over[cheers]

the pic u have there is the voltage regulator. put it back in, it isnt the problem

do you have injector pulse?

i would start witht the ignition module. mounted on the distrubutor on that.

i cant visualize it right now, too old dont see it much anymore.

I haven't checked the injector pulse but I'm pretty sure that it's the control modual, I cheked and tested everything else, so were gonna replace it tommorow,

V O L T A G E R E G U L A T O R. You will spend a lot of money guessing if you can't identify a ford voltage regulator.

Always broke
