on the 91an up, jeeps regulaters are in the computers but i'm not sure if you even have a computer in your year !! do you have a fuse box under your hood or relays?

check inside your altinator

Have the Alt. bench tested. I'm sure you will find out it is NFG. Are you getting a check engine light?

In 90 they used a Delco high output alternator and the regulator is inside the alternator. Delco high outputs are problematic alternators.

wheres the engine computer, is the question. if its inside the engine bay, the regulator will be inside the ECU, if its under the dash (big silver thing) to the passenger side of the steering columb, it will be inside the alternator. Is the rear bearing on the alternator visable? if you can see it, then it is a GM style with the regulator built in.
