After last weekends wheeling episode Jjs door hinges snapped off and his door was fucked! So today we tackled that today and got it all fixed,

here is the video of kevin and jj trying to close there door lol

so after cutting the shitty old hinges right off, we cleaned up the area and plated the old busted up shit that was there before,

another shot,

then we put the new hinges onto the door and put it on, tacked it in place, made sure everything lined up and burned the new hinges on

cleaned up some more of the hinge and inside of the door, then welded it up

why didnt you put 97+ hinges on? they are rebuildable. if your starting from scratch thats a way better bet. the old style cant really be rebuilt when the pin is wore out (since it has no wear bushings like the newer style)

Here is another solid way : http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=986973&highlight=hinge+repair

stronger than stock! the material is very thin there, stupid design flaw, and make sure you replace the broken door checks or it'll happen again. You can use the newer style checks, they have a better rubber stopper inside the door

BAsically all he did was cut it out and slip a peice behind it. Sandwiching the area, we cut the hinges off and plated the entire area then welded the hinge back on, bolts come loose over time, would work though,

Strange cause his doors still holding fine, aside from the rest of the body... lol

Ya welded a plate on top and bottom,

Probably the best part left on the body

Nah if your hood is still straight then it wins over door hinges... God knows why it IS still straight
