I'm jealous of your power and welded rear. I got lower gears and posi coming for big red soon. I'm sure your still going to be faster then me. Where are we going golfing?[redneck]

Great video! What'd he write you up on?

Did you do any jetting before running it? Probably was lean - they usually are jetted for higher elevation which would make it lean down low, especially lower mainland. :D

I think you need a S&S V-twin that runs on methanol with mechanical injection

i like the stuck up yuppie mowing his lawn and tryin to ignore you, fuken classic. that was as good as me doin the break in on my 6 banger from hell at midnight. neighbours were impressed. cops gave me a choice between a fine or shutting er down, i never even shut the truck off, just said gimme the fines.

just cleaned the carbs in parts washer and put fresh fuel lines and what not on it. ran not bad for sitting for years and i got it for free so theres not much loss other than time.

its gonna need a top end rebuild, cylinder walls are scored badly from lack of lubrication is my guess. didnt check the oil pump, but it must have failed. also has low compression now. i just dont have the money to spend on expensive snowmobile shit. its getting another free motor. v twin 4 stroke.

well fuck me

i got the damn thing running today.... ITS ALIVE MUAHAHAA

on a side note, it idles down and dies on its own. and is dumping fuel out of the carb vent hoses and the front of the carb

float level too high? too big of a fuel pump??? any ideas before i start screwing with it

Are you still running the stock fuel pump with a gravity fed carb? I tried that with mine and messed around with the float level and could never get it to work. Taped on a fuel tank to gravity feed it and it ran fine. I ended up reusing the stock carb.

im using a stock golf cart fuel pump. i had it running pretty decent and it ripped.

but its such an unreliable piece of shit this engine and it will not run worth a shit intermittently. 3 times now ive had it running fine. go down the street it will die if i give it more than 1/2 throttle.

i got the full 150 page factory service manual for the sled and the motor and i made all the necessary adjustments on the carbs/choke/throttle/

carbs are clean inside but for some fucking reason it spits out fuel out the carb vents when its idling and not running. i put new plugs in and gapped the spark plugs. adjusted the jet needle, idle mixture screws, adjusted the throttle slides and the stupid mikuni choke plungers.

what the fuck someone help me out here. im premixing the fuel right now and have disconnected the the oil pump because i was unsure of its condition.

if theres any snowmobile guys on here id appreciate some info or advice

the motor is an 2003 pro-x fan 440 air cooled

twin mikuni carbs. number 3 carb slides, #40 slow jet, and i think 210 main jets
